Hello.
I’m Adré
I switched from a career in law to the world of organic and seasonal wholefoods over a decade ago. Ironically it was being faced with bland food that sparked my joy in creating healthy and delicious recipes.
Let me explain…

In search of flavour
As a foodie living in London, I had access to incredible variety from around the world, yet I was left searching for flavour. I figured that somewhere along the production line, from being shipped across continents or grown artificially, the produce in supermarkets had lost more than just taste.
In search of flavour, and healthy food for my young family. I started visiting farmers’ markets across London, sourcing local & seasonal produce directly from the growers. Seeing vegetables still covered in the rich soil they were grown in, and shaking the weathered hands of the farmers who lovingly grew them, made me feel for the first time, connected to my food.
I became inspired to create recipes showcasing the natural flavour of produce grown in season by people who care. This love of natural wholesome food ultimately led me to become a classically trained chef at Leiths School of Food and Wine, based in London and established my own business.
When I moved to Cape Town, the spark ignited in London’s farmers’ markets grew into Adre’s Kitchen. Through my love for produce, I discovered organic and sustainable food networks in the Cape and had the privilege of getting to know many farmers as friends.
My mission
My mission is to make eating well feel achievable, enjoyable and full of flavour. I bring together more than a decade of cooking experience, my love of seasonal, organic whole foods and my knowledge of nutrition and hormone health to help people eat in a way that supports how they want to feel.
Through my recipes and Ebooks, I show how simple ingredients can become deeply satisfying food. My weekly menus take away the planning and make varied, nourishing whole-food eating easier to put into practice.
In my workshops, we cook together, building skills, confidence and a clearer understanding of how food can support health. Through private cooking, I create nourishing food around each client’s particular needs, tastes and lifestyle.
However I am cooking or teaching, flavour is never secondary. Food should nourish you, but it must also taste incredible.

What we eat matters
The quality of our food is shaped long before it reaches our plates. The soil it is grown in, the farming methods used and how far it travels can all influence its freshness, flavour and nutritional quality. This is why seasonal, organic and thoughtfully grown produce remains central to how I cook.
My own experience of hormonal imbalance led me to become a qualified Female Hormone Coach (CII, USA) and complete six months of biomedicine studies at CNM in London.
Together with more than a decade of cooking for private clients—many of them women navigating changing nutritional and hormonal needs—this knowledge informs the way I cook and teach. My role as a wholefoods chef is to translate nutritional principles into food that is practical, deeply nourishing and genuinely delicious.
I guarantee that with each wholefood recipe you won’t have to compromise on flavour – because I never do. Food has to taste incredible, and it begins with easy recipes, real ingredients and knowing how to build layers of rich, aromatic flavour.
Good for YOU food
Today, Adré’s Kitchen brings together everything I have learnt about flavour, whole foods and nutrition.
My food is for anyone who wants to eat well without restrictive rules or becoming lost in conflicting nutrition advice. It is for people who care about the quality of their ingredients, want to cook with more confidence and believe nourishing food should also be a pleasure.
Whether your nutritional needs are changing, you are looking for new ideas or you simply want to eat with more intention, you will find practical guidance grounded in real food, good ingredients and flavour.
I’ve set a place for you at my table and I can’t wait to serve and nourish you.
